T: We're in Jamestown ND tonight. This is definitely the west (prairie). We saw a prairie dog at a rest stop and lots of interesting birds along the way, including some big white ones that I thought were swans but turned out to be pelicans. Tomorrow we'll be in Canada.
D: Travel today was mostly along divided roadways, but there were plenty of pleasant vistas. US-10 from Monticello, MN to near the state line, then I-94 to Jamestown. We traveled more interstate today than we have in years (by motorcycle), but there was little choice. US-52 is part of I-94 along here, and the local roads are still being reconstructed from this Spring's flooding.
