D: We left Rapid City, South Dakota, this morning via State Route 44 which took us east through part of the Badlands National Park (without having to pay an entry fee). We enjoyed viewing the various colored earth formations and the blooming yellow prairie flowers nearby. There were various smaller "badland" type formations along our route east and south. Eventually, we headed south on US-83 to Nebraska, where we followed US-20 east to O'Neill, Nebraska, where we are staying tonight. We are now in the Central Time Zone.
T: We thought we would get an early start this morning but spent a lot of time at breakfast talking to some motorcyclists from Wisconsin. Today was not so warm and we had a nice route across South Dakota and Nebraska.
